About Texas Tribal Buffalo Project
The Texas Tribal Buffalo Project is the first Native woman-led bison ranch in Texas. We are Lipan Apache-led and based in South Texas across two ranch locations: Floresville and Waelder.
We raise Iyane'e (Buffalo, our relatives) on rematriated land using regenerative agriculture and relational stewardship practices. We operate a USDA-certified processing facility. We offer an Indigenous-led workforce development program training emerging leaders in regenerative agriculture and butchery.
We accept SNAP and EBT benefits. We are the only bison caretakers that accept EBT and ship across all Turtle Island.
