Restore Bison In Texas
Restoring Bison to a part of their southern range on the plains of central Texas will help restore oak savannah through movement and grazing of bison, reseeding native grasses, shrubs and wildflowers. We are cultivating this with our relatives, Iyanee’.
Seasonal grazing strategy for bison to move them around, mimicking ancient migrational buffalo movement patterns. To other species native to region like, horny lizards, harvester ants, armadillos, deer.

Spread Traditions, Stories and Knowledge
Sharing knowledge from elders as keepers of traditions. For example, the Apache tribe were known to gather for annual buffalo hunts in the 1700s. Thousands of individuals (2-6000) would come together to hunt once or twice a year. At other times of year, they would build small farms called “rancheria” and grow crops for the season. After the harvest the farms were left and the band would roam for foragibles and smaller game like deer, rabbit and antelope
