  • Texas Heroes Square Gonzales, TX, 78629 United States (map)

Join us at the Come and Take it Farmers Market in Gonzalez, TX, on the 3rd Saturday of each month as an ambassador for the Texas Tribal Buffalo Project! It's perfect for those passionate about Indigenous foodways, sustainability, and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and engage customers in a friendly, welcoming manner

  • Share talking points about the sacred role of the buffalo in Native culture and TTBP’s mission

  • Handle packaged meat sales, including basic inventory tracking and cash/card transactions (training provided)

  • Maintain cleanliness and proper food handling standards at the booth

  • Answer basic questions or refer to staff for detailed info

  • Help with outreach by distributing flyers or signing people up for our volunteer newsletter and TTBP email list.
