For Visiting the Ranch & Attending Texas Tribal Buffalo Project Events
At Texas Tribal Buffalo Project, we are committed to creating a space that is safe, respectful, and grounded in Indigenous values. By visiting the ranch or attending our events, you agree to the following:
1. Respect the Land & Animals
The land and Buffalo are sacred relatives. They are not tourist attractions.
Follow all instructions regarding safety, handling, and stewardship.
Do not feed, approach, or harass the Buffalo or any other wildlife.
Observe with respect and care—your presence is a privilege.2. Respect People & Culture

We honor Indigenous culture, traditions, and protocols.
Engage with others respectfully and with an open heart.
Our gatherings center Indigenous traditions and stories—please be mindful of cultural sensitivity.
Do not appropriate regalia, songs, or practices.
Always ask permission before photographing cultural practices, ceremonies, or individuals.
3. Stay Safe
Your safety—and the safety of others—comes first.
Follow staff directions at all times.
Be mindful of your surroundings.
Respect all safety protocols for working with animals, tools, or participating in activities.
4. Keep It Positive
We gather in the spirit of community and healing.
Bring patience, kindness, and generosity to every interaction.
Practice good communication and a willingness to learn.
5. Zero Tolerance for Discrimination, Harassment, Alcohol, or Drugs
We strive to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
Discrimination, harassment, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
Alcohol and drugs are not permitted.
Violations of these standards may result in immediate removal from the ranch or event.
Agreement
By attending an event or visiting the ranch, you acknowledge and agree to uphold these values and guidelines. Together, we create a space rooted in respect, safety, and community care.
Agreement & Consent
Thank you for your interest in gathering with Texas Tribal Buffalo Project. Before signing up, please review the following terms carefully.
1. Event & Marketing Communications
By signing up to visit the ranch or attend an event, you agree to receive emails, phone calls, or text messages from Texas Tribal Buffalo Project regarding:
Volunteer opportunities
Event updates
Other organizational communications
Marketing emails
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the “unsubscribe” link in our emails.
2. Liability & Release
Your participation in visiting the ranch or attending an event is entirely voluntary. By choosing to participate, you:
Assume all risks associated with your participation, including but not limited to physical injury or property damage.
Release and hold harmless Texas Tribal Buffalo Project, its employees, agents, and partners from any and all claims, liabilities, or damages that may arise from your participation.
Understand that you are responsible for your own health and safety.
3. Travel & Lodging Expenses
It's up to visitors and event attendees to cover their own travel, accommodations, and any personal costs that come with participating in events or activities.
4. Media Consent
By visiting the ranch or participating in an event, I grant Texas Tribal Buffalo Project permission to photograph, record, and use my image, likeness, and/or voice in any promotional or educational materials, including social media, newsletters, and website content. I understand that I will not receive compensation and that these materials become the property of Texas Tribal Buffalo Project.
