We are excited to announce our expansion into our traditional homelands with the acquisition of the Carney Family Ranch, facilitated by the Texas Conservation Fund

This land represents a powerful return to Indigenous stewardship, allowing our buffalo relatives more room to roam and enabling our community to embrace our true Lipan Apache spirit

Why This Matters

    From 9 bison in 2021 to 27 in 2024, we’re expanding our herd to bring back the buffalo to the Southern Plains

  • Cultural Reconnection

    We host ceremonial buffalo offerings and Indigenous community gatherings across Texas and beyond

  • Education & Wellness

    Offering Texas Indigenous culture curriculum, youth summer camps, and wellness initiatives to strengthen our communities

  • Food Sovereignty

    We offer buffalo meat directly to consumers, providing nutritious food and restoring food sovereignty to our communities

How You Can Help

While we’ve already built the initial fencing at the new ranch, we still need funding for additional fencing, corrals, and other infrastructure to fully support our growing herd and community programs.
